Elementary Education Master’s Degree
Coursework and supervised student teaching mutually inform one another in our teacher education programs. Students are simultaneously immersed in University courses while spending considerable time in urban classrooms. University-affiliated Penn Mentors visit their classrooms weekly, providing ongoing feedback, extending classroom learning into the schools and student teaching practice. The goal is to encourage student teachers to think deeply and reflectively about their practice and to consider how research helps to generalize learning to other classrooms and schools.
